Did you remember to set your clocks back?
Most of America returned to standard time early this morning, when clocks should have been set back an hour.
Fire officials remind that the time change is a good time to replace the batteries in carbon monoxide and smoke detectors. Having a working smoke alarm doubles a family’s chances of escaping and surviving a house fire, according to statistics compiled by the National Fire Protection Association. But, authorities stressed, it has to be working and fresh batteries are the key.
Some states and territories didn't observe daylight time, so they didn't have to switch back. That's the case in Arizona, Hawaii, Puerto Rico, the Virgin Islands, American Samoa, Guam and the Northern Marianas.
Daylight time returns March 13.
