Man questioned in burglary kills self with stolen gun
A Little Valley man committed suicide Saturday after Cattaraugus County sheriff's deputies contacted him during a probe into a burglary.
James M. Caswell, 23, shot himself with a stolen gun after investigators tried to question him about a burglary and stolen vehicle incident on Route 353 in Little Valley. Deputies said Caswell refused to cooperate, then shot himself. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
The investigation is continuing, said the Sheriff's Office.
