CHESS: The Archangel 8 Chess Academy, an official affiliate of the U.S. Chess Federation, will host a USCF Civil War Dual Rated Tournament on July 20 at the Main Place Mall, 390 Main St., from 9 a.m.-5 p.m. Chess players are encouraged to wear either red, white or blue shirts. USCF membership is required. The tournament format has three sections to honor those who fought and died during the Civil War, Open, U1500 and Scholastic K-9.
