The Williamsville Board of Education will hold its annual reorganizational meeting at 7 p.m. Tuesday in the district office boardroom, 105 Casey Road, East Amherst.

The three board members elected in May – incumbents Carrie Kahn and Dr. Mohan Devgun and newcomer Anthony Lafornara III – will take the oath of office. The Board will also elect its officers and address annual business items.

Also this week:

• The Buffalo Niagara Heritage Village, formerly the Amherst Museum, will host the final day of its Americana Days festival from 12:30 to 4:30 p.m. today.

The festival will feature vendors, games, crafts and a scavenger hunt. Alpacas of Niagara will also run a petting zoo.

• The Amherst Board of Education will hold its reorganizational meeting at 7 p.m. Tuesday at Room 237 of the middle school. Board members William Shaflucas and Dominic Vivolo will take the oath of office and the board will elect new officers.

• The Sweet Home Board of Education will hold its reorganizational meeting at 7 p.m. Tuesday in the Vergils Community Center of Sweet Home High School, 1901 Sweet Home Road, Amherst.

The regularly scheduled July voting meeting will immediately follow the reorganizational meeting.

• Rep. Brian Higgins, D-Buffalo, will host a “Congress on Your Corner” open house from 10 a.m. to noon Wednesday at the Williamsville library, 5571 Main Street.
