A new fast-casual franchise is headed for Buffalo.
WNY Restaurants Inc. will open five restaurants in the Buffalo region over several years. The first is slated to open within the next 12 months.
McAlister’s is a privately owned chain out of Mississippi. It is known for its sandwiches, baked potatoes and its McAlister’s Famous Sweet Tea, which can be ordered alongside meals at the restaurant or bought in one-gallon jugs to go. The restaurant also offers catered sandwich trays, boxed lunches desserts and a potato bar.
The deal in Buffalo is part of a larger expansion plan by McAlister’s. The company has more than 315 restaurants in 23 states and is adding 16 new locations in six states in addition to the five slated for Buffalo.
WNY Restaurants Inc. formerly owned Subway franchises, which it has since sold.
