NIAGARA FALLS – A Falls man is accused in a knife point robbery.

Tyrell J. Jordan, 20, of 18th Street, was charged Tuesday for his alleged role in the armed robbery of a Falls man last Thursday in the 1600 block of Cleveland Avenue. A second suspect remains at large, according to Niagara Falls Police Capt. William Thomson.

Jordan, currently released on bail as a suspect in a 2012 burglary, was arraigned Tuesday in Niagara Falls City Court on new charges of first-degree robbery, second-degree assault and fourth-degree grand larceny. He was remanded to Niagara County Jail on $100,000 bail.

A victim said on Thursday he drove to a corner store to obtain a money order and encountered Jordan, whom he knew by his first name and another unknown man. He said they asked him for a ride. The victim said he drove the men to 16th Street and Cleveland Avenue and one man pulled out a knife and demanded his money.

The victim said he ran from the scene, but was chased and tackled by both who held him down, punched him and took his money.
