The fifth Tom Borrelli Memorial Award Golf Tournament presented by the Buffalo Bandits will be held July 1 at Holland Hills. The tournament is a 10 a.m. shotgun scramble and the $100 cost includes golf, cart, lunch at the turn, dinner, one-hour open bar and a souvenir gift. There will also be prizes, auctions, raffles and drawings. There is limited space for dinner-only guests. Cost for dinner only, which includes the presentation of the boys and girls winners of the Borrelli Awards as the top senior high school lacrosse players in Western New York, is $25. BASEBALL: Titans baseball will have tryouts for a 13U fall team on Sunday, June 23 at 8 a.m. at Beverly Hills Park, 360 McNaughton, Cheektowaga, Wednesday, June 26 and Tuesday, July 9 at Sports Perfomance Park, 4545 Transit Road Williamsville, at 6:30 p.m. The team will also play in the Boys of Summer Fall League. All players will be considered one year older than their current summer playing age. Players are Required to attend one tryout and may attend multiple tryouts. Cost for the fall team is $600.00 and there is $100.00 deposit required when accepting a spot on the team. Each player will receive a uniform. Practice will be 1 to 2 times a week plus games. BASKETBALL: Summer youth free leagues will be held at the Gloria J. Parks Community Center. All leagues will be from noon to 4 p.m. Leagues will be held on Mondays (July 8-Aug. 19) for 10 and under, Tuesdays (July 9-Aug. 20) for 12 and under, Wednesdays (July 10-Aug. 21) for 15 and under, and Thursdays (July 11-Aug. 22) for 17 and under.
