The Amherst Town Board will hold a work session at 3 p.m. Monday in the council chambers of the Amherst Municipal Building, 5583 Main St., Williamsville.

Topics for discussion include the release of the town’s financial audit and a presentation on employee benefits from a faculty member of Medaille College.

Also this week:

• The Village of Williamsville Board of Trustees will meet at 7:30 p.m. Monday in Village Hall, 5565 Main St. The meeting will be preceded by a work session at 6 p.m.

• The Sweet Home Board of Education will hold its June study session at 7 p.m. Tuesday in the Vergils Community Center of Sweet Home High School, 1901 Sweet Home Road, Amherst.

• The Williamsville Board of Education will meet at 7 p.m. Tuesday in the district offices boardroom, 105 Casey Road, East Amherst.

• The Eggertsville Community Organization will meet at 7 p.m. Tuesday at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, 4007 Main St. The group will elect its 2013-14 officers and set goals for next year. The public is welcome to attend.

• Assemblyman Ray Walter, R-Amherst, will team with Upstate New York Transplant Services to host a blood drive from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Friday in front of Walter’s office at 5555 Main St. UNYTS will have a mobile donation center set up outside of the office.

• The Amherst Lions Club has announced this year’s recipients of the 2013 Amherst Lions Club College Fund Award, which assist students graduating from the five public high schools in Amherst and Williamsville.

Recipients of the $500 grant include Benjamin Jablonski of Amherst, who plans to attend Cornell University; Bridget Tichenor of Williamsville East, who plans to attend Erie County Community College; Sarah Schnabel of Williamsville North, who plans to attend the University at Buffalo; and Eva Gorney of Williamsville South, who plans to attend Canisius College.
