The Amherst Town Board will hold its regular meeting at 7 p.m. Monday in the council chambers of the Amherst Municipal Building, 5583 Main St., Williamsville. The meeting will be preceded by a work session at 3 p.m.

Town leaders will decide whether to extend on-street parking times near businesses on Main Street in Snyder, and public hearings will be held on various residential traffic and zoning issues.

Also this week:

• The Amherst Lions Club will hold its annual hot dog sale from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. today at the Walmart Super Center, 3290 Sheridan Dr.

Sahlen’s hot dogs will be served along with pop, water, and snacks. Proceeds benefit the Lions’ work with the blind, sight- and hearing-impaired and other community needs throughout the region.

• The Village of Williamsville Planning and Architectural Review Board and the Historic Preservation Commission will meet at 6 p.m. Monday at Village Hall, 5565 Main St.

The boards will discuss development at 5409 Main St., the home of Sutton Architecture and D’Avolio Olive Oil.

• Traffic lanes on Niagara Falls Boulevard near Interstate 290 will be closed from 10 p.m. to 6 a.m. beginning Tuesday. The closures, which will allow state workers to paint the Interstate 290 bridge over the boulevard, will last two months.
