Citizens United ruling is root cause of scandal

The conservatives seem happy over the alleged IRS scandal involving applications for 501(c)(4) status to avoid paying income taxes. All this is the offspring of the notorious Supreme Court case, Citizens United, which allows corporations to contribute unlimited money to political campaigns. It is the corrupting cause of these scandals. These groups used such status to hide the fact that the status was a conduit to receive millions of dollars without naming the donors to the presidential campaign of Mitt Romney. Clearly, they are worthy of scrutiny by the Internal Revenue Service. What is the real scandal here?
