FORT ERIE, Ont. – The Niagara Regional Police Service’s Collision Reconstruction Unit was working on the crash of cars driven by two Fort Erie men on Stevensville Road just north of Bertie Street at 7:40 a.m. Wednesday.

A 42-year-old man’s northbound car was slowly turning into a business lot when a 50-year-old man driving north in the southbound lane tried to pass him, investigators said. The crash ejected the 50-year-old man from his car, and he was taken to Erie County Medical Center in Buffalo with possibly life-threatening injuries. The 42-year-old man was treated locally and discharged. No charges have been filed against either man as the investigation continues.
