The Eastern Erie Retired Teachers Association will have a luncheon meeting today in Alton’s the Columns Banquets, 2221 Transit Road, Elma. Registration, which begins at 11:15 a.m., will be followed by a short business meeting and lunch. The guest speaker will be Mark Andol, founder of the Made in America store in Elma. Janice Weitz will give information about coming events at Chautauqua Institution. Members are asked to bring in toiletries that will be distributed to those in need.
Past presidents of the Sisterhood of Temple Beth Tzedek will have their annual Ladies Night Out on June 13 in the temple’s Lippa Auditorium, 621 Getzville Road, Amherst. The evening will begin with wine selections by David Davidson at 6 p.m., followed by dinner, welcoming remarks, and entertainment by Richie and Debbie Derwal.
Chairwomen for the event are Carolyn Kershanbaum, Elaine Brothman and Iris Zackheim. The cost is $30 per person. For reservations, which must be made before June 7, send a check to Ina Scheer at the temple.
