The Niagara County Industrial Development Agency has changed the date for a public hearing for a 10-year tax break sought by the developers of a new hotel in downtown Niagara Falls.
The hearing on the Plati Niagara project for a four-story, 110-room hotel at Rainbow Boulevard and Fourth Street is now scheduled for 3:30 p.m. May 7 in Niagara Falls City Hall. The hearing had been set for Thursday.
At 3:30 p.m. Friday, the IDA offices, 6311 Inducon Corporate Drive, Wheatfield, will be the scene of a hearing on a 15-year tax abatement sought by Power Greenhouse Integration. The company seeks to acquire a vegetable greenhouse on Shawnee Road in Wheatfield and expand its offerings while constructing a natural gas-fired co-generation power plant next to the greenhouse.
The IDA board is scheduled to vote on both requests May 8.
