A man who demanded small bills is sought in connection with a recent armed robbery at an Amherst gas station, town police reported Tuesday morning.

Store security video, which can be viewed on YouTube, shows the man entered the NOCO station at Main Street and Youngs Road shortly after 4 a.m. Saturday. Armed with a small pocket knife and his face and neck concealed by an orange T-shirt, he demanded all of the one- and five-dollar bills from the cash drawer.

The robber is a white man, about 6 feet tall and weighing about 160 pounds, police reported.

He wore a white hooded sweatshirt with “ZOO YORK” in blue lettering across the chest and dark colored track trousers with stripes on both legs. He also wore dark-colored sneakers with white soles.
