Astronics Corp. has signed a multi-year agreement to supply the in-seat power systems for the Airbus A350 wide body commercial jet, the East Aurora aircraft lighting and electronics maker said Monday.
Astronics did not disclose the value of its contract with Panasonic Avionics Corp., which is supplying the in-flight entertainment and connectivity systems for the commercial jet. Astronics has been supplying the in-seat power systems for many of Panasonic’s entertainment systems since 2005.
The entertainment systems allow passengers to plug their laptops and other electronic devices into their seats. The Astronics system also can supply the power for seat-back displays.
