The Restaurant Institute at SUNY Buffalo State’s Small Business Development Center is holding a preview workshop Saturday for prospective restaurateurs who want more information about the program.
The institute program teaches the business of running a restaurant through classroom instruction from faculty of the department of hospitality and tourism, weekly sessions with well-known area restaurant owners and visits from guest speakers.
The program, which begins in June, costs $1,000, but a 50 percent discount is available for clients of the center.
The workshop runs from 9 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. Saturday in the Burchfield Penney Art Center.
