The Ken-Ton School Board is expected to adopt a budget for 2013-14 at this week’s regular meeting, which begins at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday in the auditorium of Hoover Middle School, 249 Thorncliff Road.

State aid was expected to erase the remaining deficit in the preliminary $148.9 million budget. But the aid figures for next year were announced after the School Board’s final budget work session on March 26.

Regardless, homeowners will pay more in school taxes in 2013-14, but probably not as much as the $115 annual increase – on a $100,000 market value house – projected earlier in the budget process.
