The issue of suburban development and redevelopment is a hot topic in Amherst these days, with high-density, high-profile projects spurring the debate about what smart growth means to villages and towns.
That will be the focus of a special development and adaptive reuse forum held from 8:30 a.m. to 11 a.m. Thursday in the Williamsville South High School auditorium, 5950 Main St.
Community leaders, developers, commercial bankers and members of the public are invited to attend the forum, which encourages discussion from representatives on all sides of this complicated issue. Experts in a variety of related fields will share their knowledge and experience.
