Maria Kotas (Lancaster) and Morgan Leonard scored three goals and had three assists each, and Tori Quinn had three tallies and pair of assists for Canisius in a 16-5 women’s lacrosse victory over Robert Morris on Wednesday in Moon Township, Pa.

Quinn scored all three of her goals in the first half as the Golden Griffins (2-2) took an 11-2 first-half lead on their way to handing the Colonials (3-1) their first loss.

BASEBALL: St. Bonaventure’s Jason Radwan (Lake Shore) was named the Atlantic 10 Baseball Player of the Week for games played Feb. 25-March 3.

Radwan had 14 hits on the week, including multiple hits in five of Bona’s six games, including a career-high five against Mount St. Mary’s. The second baseman hit .467 for the week, helping the Bonnies to three wins. Radwan also knocked in seven runs and scored five runs.

SWIMMING: The University at Buffalo men’s swimming and diving team returns to the site of its 2011 Mid-American Conference championship at Southern Illinois University’s Dr. Edward J. Shea Natatorium in Carbondale, Ill., this weekend.

Two Bulls enter the meet as the top seed in their events. Senior Mike Dugan is the fastest in the 50-yard freestyle Cory Zorsch gives the Bulls two of the top three seeds in the 100-yard butterfly as the fastest entrant with a 49.03 clocking. Zorsch finished third last year.
