The Financial Planning Association of Western New York named the following as members of the nonprofit organization dedicated to advancing the profession of financial planning: D. Jeffrey Buckley of Lipsitz Green Scime Cambria; Samuel Terrazzino of New England Financial of Upstate New York; and John Armesto.


Olean General Hospital and Bradford Regional Medical Center re-elected six current board members to new three-year terms of office: Daniel McCune, president and CEO of Allegheny Bradford Corp.; Dr. Muhammed Javed, physician, Bradford Regional Medical Center and Olean General Hospital; Dr. Jill Owens, physician, Bradford Regional Medical Center; Lynda Quick, assistant superintendent, Cattaraugus-Allegany BOCES; David Prince, president and CEO, Databranch; and Jeannine T. Schoenecker, president and chief operating officer, American Refining Group. The six board members will also serve three-year terms as board members of Upper Allegheny Health System, parent company of the two hospitals. McCune remains chairman of the board for both hospitals and the UAHS, while Javed remains board secretary for all three organizations.


Roswell Park Cancer Institute named the Rev. Reninger Flores to the Pastoral Care Team as one of two Protestant chaplains serving the institute’s patients and visitors. Originally from Lima, Peru, Flores came to Buffalo in 2005 when he was appointed a church planner for the Seventh-day Adventist Church. He has also served as a chaplain aide for the Catholic Health System’s McAuley Seton Home Care Corp. and is an elder for the Buffalo Suburban Seventh-day Adventist Church. A graduate of Peruvian Union University with a bachelor of arts degree in theology, Flores obtained a master of divinity degree and ordination from the Adventist American Latino Seminary, and a master’s in rehabilitation counseling from the University at Buffalo. He is certified in pastoral care education and chaplaincy training.

GreenField Terrace, the newest addition to the GreenFields Continuing Care Community, recently began accepting residents to its memory care and enhanced assisted living home. The facility consists of four separate houses surrounding an enclosed courtyard. In three of the houses, residents who require memory care get individualized attention 24 hours a day. In the fourth house, people whose needs fall between traditional assisted living and skilled nursing receive the enhanced assisted living care they need. The GreenFields Continuing Care Community is at 5949-5979 Broadway in Lancaster and is affiliated with the Niagara Lutheran Health System.
