First Niagara name sings

Story tools:

First Niagara Financial Group, seeking to make more of a splash in its new Pittsburgh market, is spending an undisclosed amount of money to put its name on a concert venue outside the Steel City.

The Buffalo-based banking company said it signed a “multiyear” agreement with concert promoter and operator Live Nation for the naming rights to the former Post-Gazette Pavilion in Burgettstown, Pa.

The amphitheater, which seats 23,100, is now First Niagara Bank Pavilion. It’s the first time First Niagara has paid for naming rights anywhere.
