Traffic stop by troopers leads to DWI, other charges

A Cowlesville man who was stopped by state troopers Tuesday evening in the Town of Lancaster for passing a stop sign and failing to stay right was allegedly found to be driving at more than twice the legal limit of blood alcohol, state police reported.
John T. Mitchell, 59, was charged with DWI and issued tickets to appear in the Lancaster Town Court.
Mitchell was stopped by troopers on Ransom Road at about 7:35 p. m.
