Marijuana arrest follows cell phone stop

Story tools:

LOCKPORT—Troopers have charged a Lockport woman with marijuana possession after they reported seeing her talking on her cell phone while driving, state police officials said Monday.

Troopers said they stopped Rebecca S. Robarge-Hill, 39, of Adam Street, on Friday as she drove north on South Transit Road.

While questioning her, troopers said they detected a strong odor of burnt marijuana coming from her car. A search of the car turned up a plastic bag containing about 1.75 grams of suspected marijuana, troopers said.
