NIAGARA WINE TRAIL

‘Share the Bounty’ event hosted by 11 wineries

Story tools:

All 11 wineries on the Niagara Wine Trail are hosting a “Share the Bounty” event this weekend, in which participants are encouraged to donate a nonperishable food item or $2.50 per wine tasting, all to benefit local food pantries.

The event, which got under way Saturday, continues from noon to 6 p. m. today along the trail, which runs through parts of Niagara and Orleans counties. Last year’s event helped to raise more than 2,200 food items and more than $1,000 for the Lockport Salvation Army Food Bank, Newfane Community Food Pantry and others.
