Pet Connection Programs, a maternity and special care shelter for dogs and cats located in Marilla, needs supplies and cash donations to help cope with an overabundance of animals recently turned over to the nonprofit organization.
“In recent weeks, we have been inundated with dogs, cats, puppies and kittens, many in need of immediate medical attention,” said Julie Garvey, president of Pet Connection Programs.
Any donation, in any amount, will mean so much to the life of a rescued animal,” she added.
Supplies such as liquid bleach and bleach wipes, paper towels, cat litter, canned cat food and canned puppy food are also in very short supply at the shelter.
Families interested in adopting from Pet Connection Programs, 12935 Williston Road, Marilla, are invited to visit the shelter during adoption hours: noon to 3 p. m. every Saturday and Sunday.
