WASHINGTON—The House on Friday approved a bill naming a post office in Orchard Park for the late Rep. Jack Kemp, sending the measure on to President Obama for his signature.
The House passed the bill unanimously, joining the Senate, which approved the legislation Aug. 4. The measure honors the former Buffalo Bills quarterback and Republican lawmaker who represented a suburban Buffalo district for 18 years.
“Kemp is remembered as a fighter and a leader,” said Rep. Brian Higgins, D-Buffalo.
The post office is located at 60 School St.
