Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center named Dr. Michael and Dana Stoffman and Bobby and Sheila DiFrancesco co-chairmen of the 2010 Premier, the annual black-tie dinner and entertainment gala. Stoffman is a neurosurgeon with the Brain and Spine Center and a member of the hospital’s medical staff. DiFrancesco is the principal of Niagara Catholic High School. The Premier will be held Jan. 16 in the Seneca Niagara Casino& Hotel, 310 Fourth St., Niagara Falls.

Toastmasters District 65 named Jill Kelly, co-founder of the Hunter’s Hope Foundation, and Chris Collins, Erie County executive, recipients of the 2009 Communication and Leadership Award. The award will be presented at a luncheon at noon Nov. 7 in the Event Center at Seneca Niagara Casino&Hotel in Niagara Falls.

Burden, Gulisano and Hickey attorney Philip M.Gulisano recently spoke at the annual conference of the Canadian Transport Lawyers Association in Niagara-on-the-Lake, Ont., on the issue of cross-border freight claims and personal-injury cases.
