Traffic stop leads to chase and arrest

A man with a handgun was arrested after fleeing a routine traffic stop in a car and later on foot, Buffalo police said Saturday.
Kennedy Gadley of Buffalo was charged with weapon possession after he and the driver, Cody Jones, also of Buffalo, were pulled over on West Chippewa Street at about 2:50 a. m Saturday.
Police said the two men fled the scene in their car and, when it was finally stopped on Delaware Avenue, Gadley fled on foot. He was seen dropping a loaded handgun before he was arrested in the 300 block of Delaware, police said. Jones was charged with fleeing the police.
