Veteran defensive end Aaron Schobel suffered an elbow injury during the Bills' preseason loss Saturday at Green Bay that, coach Dick Jauron said, "could keep him out for a while."
Schobel could miss Saturday's preseason game against the Pittsburgh Steelers.
"We don't think it would be a problem long, long term but it could be a week or so maybe longer than that," Jauron said.
Schobel didn't practice Monday. Also missing practice were wide receivers Terrell Owens and Felton Huggins, linebackers Pat Thomas and Ashlee Palmer, cornerback Drayton Florence and tight end Travis McCall.
Also, second-year tackle Demetrius Bell was carted off the field with a back injury. He was evaluated in the locker room but the extent of the injury is uncertain.
Jauron said he talked to Owens who indicated his injury (sprained toe) is improving.
"He says it feels a lot better," Jauron said. "We won't bring him back out onto the field until we feel like it's all the way back to where it was."
