Bills' WR Johnson out with rib injury

News Sports Reporter

Story tools:

Receiver Steve Johnson, who looked very good the first two days of training camp, was on the sidelines watching today. It sounds like he will be out the rest of the week.

"It's not a broken rib. I think i'ts a cartilage injury between the ribs," coach Dick Jauron said. "And it may keep him out for a little while. It's very, very sore, very tender."

Defensive end Copeland Bryan was helped off the field early in the workout. He got caught up in a pile in the 9-on-7 running drill. Jauron said Bryan injured a hamstring. Defensive tackle Marcus Stroud (hamstring) also sat out.
