Escapee from Hopevale is captured in Newstead

Story tools:

A Rochester girl was charged with disorderly conduct after fleeing Hopevale School and Detention Facility, Erie County sheriff’s officials said Tuesday.

At about 6 p. m. Monday, Deputy Gene Nati responded to a Buckwheat Road residence in Newstead on the report of a runaway girl from Hopevale.

When Nati arrived, the girl became “extremely belligerent, disorderly and uncooperative,” sheriff’s officials said. She was charged with disorderly conduct and taken to the Erie County Holding Center pending arraignment.
