Sultry jazz singer Diana Krall is on the road now with her Quiet Nights Tour, and she is coming to Artpark on Wednesday. The Quiet Nights refers to the Antonio Carlos Jobim classic “Quiet Nights and Quiet Stars.” And Krall says that the Brazilian- inspired album that bears its name is dedicated to her husband, Elvis Costello.
“It’s my love letter to my husband—just an intimate, romantic album,” Artpark quotes her as saying. Krall, who counts Elton John, James Taylor and Sarah McLachlan among her friends, appeals to more than the jazz crowd with her smoky crooning and trademark subdued piano. She will bring her talents to the Artpark Mainstage Theater at 8 p. m. Wednesday. Admission is $49.50 to $55, with lawn seats $35.
