Historical Museum to start season June 6

ELLICOTTVILLE—The Ellicottville Historical Museum, Washington and Jefferson streets, will open for the season June 6 with displays featuring the Cattaraugus County Bicentennial last year and detailed vignettes about six of Ellicottville’s prominent early settlers.
The museum will be open from 1 to 4 p. m. Saturdays and Sundays through September, said Mary Elizabeth Dunbar, town historian and museum curator. Volunteers from the historical society and community will serve as hosts. Appointments can be made for group tours and research projects. For information, call 699-2162.
