Health law violation charged after fire

Story tools:

PORTLAND—A Little Valley man was cited Tuesday for violating county health laws for illegally burning materials after a fire last week in an unattended trailer at Pleasant Acres mobile home park on Route 20.

Chautauqua County sheriff’s officials said James Hebden, 45, who owns the mobile home park, accidentally started the trailer fire while he was doing demolition work Friday. Investigators also noted Hebden had illegally burned materials in other fires.

Hebden was given an appearance ticket to appear before the Cattaraugus County Health Board.
