Tournament schedule: Where to play and watch in 2009

Jeff Wolniewicz, the defending men's player of the year in the Buffalo District Golf Association, is back to defend his New York State Amateur title. Rene Sobolewski, a rising senior at The Nichols School, returns to defend her BDGA women's points title. Jamie Miller, the BDGA men's individual champion, has turned pro and can't come back to try to win that event for the second straight year.
That's not the region's only competitive loss. The LPGA Corning Classic will be held for the final time this year May 21-24, ending a run in that Southern Tier community that began in 1979.
