Caroline R. Camp, retired Maryvale teacher

Caroline Rhea Camp, a retired elementary teacher in the Maryvale School District, died Saturday at the home of family members in Saratoga Springs after a two-year illness. She was 75.
Born Caroline Pecora in Geneseo, she was a graduate of Geneseo State College and earned her master’s degree at Buffalo State College. She taught mostly second-graders in the former U-Crest Elementary School, now Maryvale Primary, from the mid-1950s until she retired in 1993.
A former Williamsville resident, in retirement she spent summers in Angola-on-the- Lake and winters in Sarasota, Fla. She was an avid golfer and card player.
Her husband of 39 years, Calvin K., a beverage salesman, died in 1998.
Surviving are two daughters, Patricia Barrett and Polly Ann O’Connell, and a sister, Margaret Melizzi.
A graveside service will be at 11 a. m. Saturday in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Geneseo. A memorial service will be scheduled this summer.
