The Buffalo Bills will meet the Chicago Bears and the Detroit Lions at home this summer as part of their preseason schedule.
The Bills will play five exhibition games, one more than usual, due to their participation in the Pro Football Hall of Fame Game.
The complete NFL exhibition schedule was released Monday, but the exact dates and times of most games are not yet set. The regular-season schedule will be released within the next several weeks.
The Bills will meet the Tennessee Titans at 8 p.m. on Aug. 9 at Canton, Ohio, in the first game of the summer for the entire league. Both teams will wear their throwback, 1960s-era uniforms as part of the NFL's celebration of the 50th anniversary of the founding of the American Football League. The day before that game, Bills owner Ralph C. Wilson Jr. and former Bills defensive end Bruce Smith will be inducted into the Hall of Fame.
There are no Bills preseason games in Toronto this summer. The Bills host Chicago the weekend of Aug. 13-17. The next game is at Green Bay Aug. 20-24. The fourth exhibition is at Super Bowl champion Pittsburgh Aug. 27-31. The last exhibition is home against Detroit Sept. 3 or 4.
The Bills open the regular season at New England on Sept. 14, which will be a nationally televised game on Monday Night Football.
