Candidates for Amherst supervisor and the town board will be featured at a Zonta Club of Amherst dinner in Fanny’s restaurant at 6 p. m. Tuesday. The cost is $22. The 49th annual Barnabite Fathers Founders Ball will be held Nov. 7 in Hyatt Regency Buffalo. Honorees at the black-tie event will be Dr. Frank and Renata Giacobbe who will receive the Barnabite Founders Award. Dr. Giacobbe is chief of pediatrics at Sisters Hospital. Mrs. Giacobbe is professor of Italian language at Canisius and Buffalo State colleges.
David J. and Mary Beth Nasca are chairmen, and Vincent G. and Luceille LoTempio are cochairmen of the event. Frank and Jennie Deni are permanent chairmen of the Founders organization. For ticket information, call Bob Senecal at 873-6865.

Quota International of Amherst will mark its 90th year with “Quota is 90 and Counting on You.” The event, which includes an historic hat show by the Amherst Museum, a fashion show by The Jacqueline Shoppe, and a basket auction, will be begin with a luncheon at 12:30 p. m. Nov. 7 in Hearthstone Manor, Depew. Current and former WKBW-TV anchors Ginger Geoffrey and Susan Banks will serve as mistresses of ceremonies. Co-chairwomen of the event are Kathy Bucierka and Robin Miller. Proceeds benefit local charitable organizations.

Buffalo Alumnae Chapter of Alpha Sigma Tau and collegiate members will celebrate the sorority’s founder’s day at a luncheon at 11:30 a. m. Nov. 7 in Cabaret restaurant, 490 Pearl St. Chairwoman Nicole Ball will be assisted by Rachel Binda and Michelle Wheeler.
The program will be presented by Laura Gates and the Lockport K-9 Helpers for the Handicapped. Anna Maria Lagona will demonstrate the skills of her service dog, Dodger.
Sigma Chapter of Alpha Sigma Tau at Buffalo State College and the Epsilon Mu Colony at University at Buffalo will attend.
