Remember writing? What could be cuter –and more useful –than a package that combines stylish notecards with advice on how to perfect your correspondence?

That’s what you get with “The Art of Correspondence,” a new boxed set – perfect for gift-giving occasions this spring –that includes 12 notecards, 12 correspondence cards and an etiquette booklet about card and note writing by Florence Isaacs. From Potter Style, the set sells for $23.

’80s mania

“The Lost Collection” is a totally awesome new series of eight DVDs from Lionsgate that zip us back to the ’80s with the likes of Drew Barrymore, Jon Cryer and Keanu Reeves in such “forgotten” movies as “Irreconcilable Differences,” “Hiding Out,” “Morgan Stewart’s Coming Home” and “The Night Before.” Also included: Robert Sean Leonard (“House”) in “My Best Friend Is a Vampire,” Jim Belushi in “Homer & Eddie,” as well as “The Night Before,” “Repossessed” and “Slaughter High.” Priced at only $14.95 each, these are a bargain, fer shure.

Get some style

Fridays are fun and fabulous at Lu Modern Classics, 504 Elmwood Ave. Through May 22, owner Lou Schreiber and Lauren Larsen, of Lauren Larsen Design, will pass along styling tips from 5 to 8 p.m. This week’s topic: “Cover Up Conundrum.” Learn how to wear that new boyfriend jacket, cozy cape or stylish shrug. Coming up: “Day to Night With a Change of Accessories” (May 8), “Denim Desire” (May 15) and “Bags, Bags, Bags” (May 22). And, yes, there will be refreshments.
