The Holy Angels Academy 24th annual “Pot O’Gold” raffle and auction will be held at 6:30 p. m. Saturday in the school, 24 Shosone Drive.

Joe and Melissa Hess Santone and Scott and Lauire Seier, are chair and co-chair couples, respectively, of the event.

Rob Ray, of the Buffalo Sabres alumni, will act as the auctioneer and master of ceremonies for the auction.

The highlight of the evening will be the drawing of the winning numbers in the Pot O’ Gold raffle. Twenty-six winners will receive $19,000 in cash and prizes, and one person will win the grand prize of $10,000.

The event will also feature hors d’oeuvres, desserts, beer, wine and soft drinks. The event is organized by the Holy Angels Academy Parents’ Guild. Purchasers of raffle tickets are invited to attend. Chances for the drawing cost $100 and may be obtained through the Holy Angels Academy Alumnae Relations Office by calling 834-7120, Ext. 333, or 335.

Sharon Bakshi is the newly elected chairwoman of the Women’s Activities Association of Park Country Club of Buffalo. Serving with her are vice chairwoman, Lisa Scherrer; secretary, Renee Mertz; treasurer, Beth Montague; hospitality, Mary Hutton; 18-hole golf division, Joyce Scherrer; nine-hole golf division, Maureen D’Angelo; junior golf, Connie Littlewood; publicity, Anne Broad; bowling, Lucy Miller; tennis, Kathy Karas; bridge, Kathy Pollock; teen activities, Anne Scherrer; youth activities, Lori Ward; and pool, Kristen Bauer.

The opening dinner will be held May 7 in the clubhouse. Guests are welcome.

Lois A. Lawrence of West Falls will be installed as high priestess of Ailiamsi Court 12, Ladies Oriental Shrine of North America, at 2 p. m. Saturday in the Shrine Center, 1600 Southwestern Blvd., West Seneca. Those to be installed with her are princess, Kathleen Copperberg; associate princess, Linda Will; recorder, Mary Tornow; treasurer, Susan Lask; first ceremonial lady, Bernice McIndoe; second ceremonial lady, Sallie Browning; and trustee, Madelaine Levy. A reception will follow.

The 24th annual Friends of Niagara University Theatre Gala and Auction will take place April 25 in the university’s Leary Theatre.

The event, which begins at 3 p. m., includes a performance of “The Threepenny Opera,” followed by a cocktail hour, dinner and silent and live auctions in the Castellani Art Museum. Among auction items for the event are a travel package from the Millennium Hotel in New York City, dining and spa certificates, a guest appearance in next year’s gala musical, themed baskets, framed art, sports and entertainment collectibles and more. Proceeds support activities of the NU Theatre. Patricia Orzetti and Art and Barbara Traver will serve as gala co-chairmen. Auction co-chairwomen are Pamela LeCuyer, Lori Presti and Adair Saviola.
