Fall menu at O’Connell’s

New items have been announced for the dinner menu at O’Connell’s American Bistro, located at 981 Kenmore Ave., Kenmore. The restaurant is now featuring the likes of Littleneck Clams cooked with Spar’s Calabrese Sausage; steak tartare; and lobster mac ’n’ cheese on the appetizer menu. On the dinner menu, it’s offering Shepherd’s Pie made with shredded veal cheeks, short ribs, corn and handmade gnocchi with duck confit.

A “Chef’s Tasting” is also offered: five courses for $50, seven courses for $75. (The entire table must participate, and a wine pairing is offered at an additional charge.)

Meals on Wheels benefit

The Western New York chapter of the New York State Restaurant Association is sponsoring a “Because You Care – We Share” evening for the benefit of Meals on Wheels.

Dine out at one of the following member restaurants Oct. 28, and a portion of the proceeds will be donated: Mr. Bill’s Restaurant and Bar, Cheektowaga; Pizza Plant, Williamsville; Ilio DiPaolo’s, Blasdell; The Roycroft, East Aurora; Ristorante Lombardo, Hertel Avenue; Siena Restaurant, Snyder; Creekview, Williamsville; Chef’s, Seneca Street; and Rue Franklin West, Franklin Street.

Also, LaScala Ristorante, East Amherst; Pano’s, Elmwood Avenue; the Anchor Bar, Main Street; French Pub and Restaurant, Depew; Scotch ’n’ Sirloin, Amherst; Buffalo Brew Pub, Williamsville; Asa Ransom House, Clarence; and Curley’s Bar and Grill, Lackawanna.
