Heritage Christian Services, a human services organization supporting more than 1,500 children and adults with developmental disabilities, promoted Chuck Barber to vice president of Western New York operations.
Barber has been with the agency for 11 years, serving most recently as director of Western New York operations. He has a bachelor’s degree in business studies from Buffalo State College.

The Department of Neurology at the University at Buffalo’s Jacobs Neurological Institute appointed Dr. Nicholas J. Silvestri neuromuscular specialist and assistant professor of clinical neurology. Silvestri obtained his medical degree at the University at Buffalo’s School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences and completed his residency in neurology and a fellowship in neuromuscular medicine at Harvard Medical School and Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston. He is based at Erie County Medical Center.

Wilson Farms stores throughout New York State helped the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society raise more than $600,000 through four fundraising events for the 2009 Light the Night Walk campaign. The Western and Central New York Chapter of the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society’s 11th annual Light the Night Walk raised more than $335,000.
