New Era makes 'super' deal with Marvel Comics


New Era Cap Co. and Marvel Entertainment announced on Friday that they signed a licensing deal to distribute their “Super Heroes” collection of hats in the United States. With its caps depicting the Incredible Hulk and the Iron Man, the Buffalo-headquartered cap company hopes to appeal to a new audience of comic book and movie fans.

Macy’s welcomes FAO Schwarz


CINCINNATI (AP) — FAO Schwarz will open toy stores in close to 700 Macy’s department stores over the next two years, the companies said Friday. About 75 full-size FAO toy stores will open across the country in the fall, along with about 200 smaller shops that will be up to 300 square feet, the companies said.

Mod-Pac Corp. shareholders are getting restless. Really restless. The Buffalo specialty printing company last week reported its ninth straight quarterly loss as it struggles to replace the sales it lost three years ago when its biggest customer, online printed products marketer VistaPrint Ltd., stopped using Mod-Pac for its printing.
