Batavia Downs opens tonight
Batavia Downs kicks off its 62nd season tonight with an 11-race card starting at 7:05 p. m. It’s the start of a 60-date season that runs through Dec. 6 at the nation’s oldest lighted harness track.
Racing will be held on Mondays (except Aug. 25), Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays through Labor Day. Then Mondays will be dropped for the rest of the season.
Post time is 7:05 p. m. except for 1:15 p. m. matinees on Sunday, Aug. 24 and Monday, Sept. 1 (Labor Day).
The season’s highlight will be the $40,000 Robert J. Kane Pace on Oct. 4.
