Egor Mironov, a forward on Niagara's men's hockey team, is among 25 players invited to participate in the 2009 Toronto Maple Leafs Prospect Camp, which runs Sunday through July 10. The group includes two goalies, nine defensemen and 14 forwards. All seven draft picks by the Leafs.

Durie Burns has done a lot of crying the past few days, a lot of laughing, too. It's the same for Bob McAdoo, and John Hummer, and anyone else who was lucky enough to know Randy Smith well. The emotions run deep. The memories are vivid and eternally young, like Randy. That's why it's so difficult to fathom that the former Buffalo Braves star is really gone, dead of a heart attack at 60.

CORTLAND — Kyrstin Lekki blasted a towering one-out, walk-off home run over the left-field wall to give Buffalo State a 3-2 win over nationally ranked No. 8 Cortland to capture the SUNYAC championship Sunday at Red Dragon Field. The win gave the Bengals an automatic berth in the NCAA Regionals.
